Welcome to 2024- Jewish year 5784

Happy new year 2024! The gates of a new season is significant for those who understand the Spiritual realm. A lot of  divine broadcasts happens during transitions. The Bible recognizes that there are seasons for everything, and these seasons dictate the catalogue of events and activities. For example, in Bible times a time of harvest was characterized by celebrations and not grief. Its a significant change from empty barns to bountifulness. So its is with crossing into a new year: - A lot changes including the name. There is also a numerical change. - People everywhere are upbeat about new year resolutions, vision boards and goals/objectives to attain. - A year is equivalent to a season. People refer to key events with their years of occurrence. - A year is used as a standard to measure and review performance. E.g. Schools, Companies, Countries If this be so with men, how much more with God, He plans ahead for all of us. I know for a fact that with a new year comes a fresh thing. So, a

Be Sober, Be Vigilant! - Part 1

1 Peter 5:8 Be  sober , be vigilant ; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Its just common sense to listen to our elders, it can be the difference between if you survive or loose. In this case, Apostle Peter qualifies as an Elder in the Faith, having been one of the first disciples of Christ. And the interactions he had with the LORD rubbed a lot of first-hand info to him. However, I wanted to approach the above scripture on the spiritual angle. It talks of a believers relationship with the devil, that he is every believer's accuser.  And to be safe, you need to keep a clean name and a clean spiritual profile. What then does it mean to be sober and to be vigilant? Sober - Sane, sound-mind, not drunk. Vigilant   - Keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties. These two are attributes of a good soldier, a godly steward, one sent out on a commission. Remember the great commission? I thought I should alert you tha

WAITING ON GOD

What is waiting? To suspend/cease from activities and stay until something you are expecting happens. I know that as a human being, you've waited for something or someone at some point in life. Can you remember how it turned out? I remember the first time I left my village to the city, I didn't sleep the night before the big day. I could not! I was looking forward to the next day and hoping nothing would take that opportunity away from me. Let's look at Biblical examples on waiting now. 1. Abraham. We know that Abraham received a promise from God. He believed God despite his age and his circumstances. He acted by Faith and followed God all his life. Hebrews 6 : 15 And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised Here we see waiting and patience going together. You cannot wait for as long as Abraham waited and fail to cultivate patience along the way. 2. David. With a Kingly anointing on his head, He had to wait till he was 30 years before he could

HOW IMPORTANT IS FAITH?

Greetings Readers, I write this post to the glory of our Master and Lord, Jesus Christ, the Lord of Grace and Mercy. I find myself talking and thinking over and over again on the subject of Faith . I think going as far as defining what Faith is and what Faith is not is simply not enough for a believer. Having said that, i believe Faith is to a believer as fuel is to a vehicle. A vehicle is useless in its purpose unless it is fueled. The analogy tells you a believer needs to walk in Faith daily. You need faith to: Get Born again Heb 11:6 Receive answers to prayers Mat 17:20 For ministry Romans 12:6 I will leave you with this summary bible verse. Heb 11:6 a " And  without   faith   it is impossible   to please God ,"

SALVATION

The basic definition of Salvation is "Deliverance from sin and its consequences".  The consequences of sin is death , an eternal separation from God. So when sin found its way into mankind at the garden of Eden, two things happened; Death reigned from then on wards, translating to... Separation from God. But God is love and would not leave it that way, because He created man for Himself (for fellowship). He had a plan to redeem man from this situation. It is written that there is no forgiveness of sin without the shedding of blood (Hebrews 9:22). Shed  blood is the evidence of death. And if the offender dies, case is settled....wrath is satisfied!!! The old testament operated in the shadow of the redemption that was to come. Sacrificing blood of pure animals, best of cereals and vegetables or even incense to atone for their mistakes. The bad news is, they felt forgiven for sometime and had to reload their righteousness by doing the same sacrifices over and over again.

THE DOUBLE SURETY OF GOD'S PROMISES

God gave Abraham and his seed a promise. This was after Abraham obeyed a call to leave his native land and go out to a land that GOD would show him. Men consider Oaths as unbreakable seals to a promise. This involves swearing by a name greater than yours. Because GOD was dealing with a human here, he did it the human way by confirming HIS promise by an oath taken in HIS Name since there is no one greater than HIM. Heb 6:16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Heb 6:17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath : This brought forth a ' double surety' that what GOD said shall come to pass. This is first by the fact that GOD cannot lie and second the oath. Heb 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set

FROM THE RECORDS

It is an obvious thing, that the human brain is volatile when it comes to keeping information. That is why you see them everywhere with notebooks and diaries jotting every detail they consider to be of relevance to them. If it were not for records, the scholars would have a knowledge gap between Isaac Newton and that small child in class one at you locality. Likewise, if not for records; the world would be in chaos because what has been passed as laws, strategies and treaties are gone with the demise of the parties directly involved. A Jew in the  empire of Babylon was going through records. From that he realized that the period that had been set for the Jews in captivity was over! A Roman Governor received visitors from the east who wanted to pay a visit to a new born, from records he was informed where the new born was to be born! I know so much about foreign colonies and little about my clan/tribe, why? So little has been documented about it. I am saying reco
